The Czech Republic is the number one European country that consumes beer. And in Prague, if you want a beer, you can grab a pint for an average of USD 1.60. In Vienna, Austria and in Berlin, Germany, a pint costs USD 4.60 and USD 3.90 respectively. Not too bad considering their average consumption per capita is 106 and 104.3 liters per capita respectively. Warsaw, Poland is one of the cheapest places where you can buy some brew, at USD 2.07.
But if you go to Dublin, Ireland, a pint will set you back USD 7.10. But even this high a price does not deter the Irish, who consume about 100.8 liters per capita. The most expensive pint you will find in Europe is in Oslo, Norway, where beer costs around USD 10.30. Zurich, Switzerland comes in second at USD 7.70 a pint. If you find yourself in the City of Lights (Paris, France), a pint costs about USD 7.30, the same price in Stockholm, Sweden. The cost of a pint London, England is not too far behind, at about USD 7.10. You would be in for a treat when you go to Madrid, Spain and Brussels, Belgium though because a pint there costs USD 5.70 and USD 4.50 respectively. If you are looking for the cheapest, you should find your way to Sofia, Bulgaria where a pint is only USD 1.57. In Budapest, Hungary, beer is priced at USD 1.62 a pint, while in Bucharest, Romania it is only USD 1.74.
